Taking 2 meds for bacterial vaginosis...help?

I'm taking a pill but it's supposed to be effective for several days after just taking just the one pill. It's for candida. I'm also using a l gel prescription. I started with those last night. Today, I noticed extra yellow discharge today. Is this normal and does this mean it's working or shouldn't I be having this?
