Army basic training rank?

Hi guys, im in the DEP for the U.S ARMY *salute* to everyone that has served. Anyway im suppose to go in as a E-3 because of college credits, its in my contract also, i read that recruits must p an initial pt test b4 basic training and if they fail they are sent to remedial pt (fat camp), just saying if i failed it, and was sent to fat camp do i still get my rank after BCT? another question is that what if one fail their APFT in BCT then later p it on like the 2nd or 3rd try, do that person still get their rank even after failing it the first time? I read on some sites that if you fail you pt test you don't get promoted, which im not too much worried about it myself im not fat at all, im 67inches, and 158lbs, work out pretty much 5days a week and i have 6mths til basic :) i jus would like to kno because if i do fail either the initial test or the APFT the first or second time, then p it later do i still get to be a e3 or since i failed it, am i going to be a e1?
