I have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT and my 4WD wont disengage?

Is it the 4WD motor or something else, from what i can tell its stuck in 4WD High and every so often my High and low lights blink on my dashboard....What could be the problem and where can i find a replacement if its the motor or other problems?
