Hot,stabbing pain in my toe joint?

I have had a hot,stabbing pain the comes and goes in my left big toe. The pain is so intense that it takes my breath away. It ususally happens when I am stood still although having a cleaning business i tend to be on my feet alot. I do have a slightly small bunion on that toe joint and have to watch what shoes I wear and ive noticed im not putting any weight on my big toe and there is a tender spot (hard skin)in the ball of the same foot just next to the big toe . Iam 30 y.o. not over weight and do not drink alcohol x
